Ways to increase Blog traffic

Updating older posts was disliked by many of the bloggers around the world as they think that it was waste of time. Many bloggers use to share the older posts frequently in the social sites to seek some traffic and views for that posts. But i tell a more effective way than that to increase the views and accuracy of old posts. Old posts should never be ignored by the bloggers instead they should consider as an asset and should work in it to make it better. Sometimes blogger used to worry about non availability of articles to keep their blog ticking, so for all my fellow bloggers this is a technique which can make your blog ticking instead of writing new posts. Below i am going to discuss some reasons and ways for effective updating of your blog posts.

REASONS YOU SHOULD GO FOR UPDATING:

1. ACCURACY:

This was the most important factor to consider when updating your blogger posts. I personally feel a blog posts cannot be 100% accurate since the facts change with time. So you need to make your posts accurate by updating the facts or correcting things in your posts which is probably outdated or wrong by this time.

2. CHANGE OF OPINION:

I used to experience this from time to time and i update my blog every time i face this change of opinion. The change of opinion can be in the presentation of my posts or facts i have written in my blogger posts. For example you are writing a reviews about top products in your blog , earlier you have given a product top spot but in time some other product managed to convince you that it is the best. Then it is the best time to update your blog posts changing that specific product as the best one.

While Updating you should mention as "Update" to avoid confusion among your blog readers and it is great to mention the reasons for the update to your posts.

3.  EXTRA PIECE OF INFORMATION:

This holds a significance part in updating the old blog posts. You should never hesitate to add even bit of extra information since it will increase the value of your posts or even compel the visitors to trusted readers. Remember to add this information as "Update" to make it as indication that it was updated , this may show your sincerity of giving good information to your visitors. 4. KEYWORD DENSITY:

This part is for SEO (Search engine Optimization), every SEO considers the density of keywords in your posts to rank the posts higher in their search results. So you should take this important factor into account while updating your blog posts. You should go for some keyword researches before updating any posts and after that fill those keywords in your posts at correct levels in a appropriate manner. This will increase the ranking of your posts in search engine results thats what every blogger is working for.

1. PRESENTATION OF BLOG POSTS:

Presentation of your posts has a great significance as proper presentation of your posts can boost the views and shares to great extent. Find a proper presentation for your posts, even if you don't get it right the first time keep improving it. Experiment with the presentation of your blog posts and do remember that each types posts need unique presentation so work accordingly.

2. GETTING RID OF OLD INFORMATION:

This is an important aspect in updating older posts, as outdated infos are never liked by the visitors. So get rid of old outdated information and always try to fill it with new and fresh information. So that it may create a good opinion about your site in the mind of your visitors. Make the information precise but never publish it unless you are sure that the information provided is right, always be aware of it.

3. LINKING WITH NEW POSTS: 

This strategy was well known by everyone and i guess i dont need to explain much on this technique. Whenever you write a new posts seek a chance that it can be linked with your old posts so that you keep the visitor in your site for long time increasing the bounce rate. For example if you have already wrote a article about top ten Smartphones and now you are about to write a article about "Top ten tablets" there is high chance of linking both of these posts by placing links in your each posts. It is called as internal linking and it also helps you SEO also. So always try to find a way for linking posts and iam damn sure it will increase visitors to great extent.
